The WAARC supported the OCV Boy Scout Star Trek Camporee, October 27, 2018 at Hall Park, Riverside, IA.
We had 8 groups of scouts throughout the day joining us in our heated Comm trailer. Many of the scouts and leaders were interested in Amateur Radio and took literature home. The HF bands were disappointing, between contests and lack of response on the WARC bands, but 2 meters and WAARC club members saved the afternoon by making contacts with willing scouts.
